While we admire our lovely queen, she left no chance to talk about the rich heritage and culture of India. She is indeed a proud Indian, and we have proof of it!
During an interview where she was asked “As an Indian, what makes you most proud of your culture” with the greatest pride in her eyes, Manasa replied, “Well, in India, we traditionally greet each other by saying
namaskaram and
namaskaram literally translates to light in me welcome light in you, and I think that’s a really beautiful word to show how much we value respect in our culture, not only respect for each other, but also the planet we live in and I think when we talk about respect there are most Indians who believe that the only unifying force that exists in the world is energy the same energy that is within you is the same energy that is within me and it’s the same energy that’s really in the world, and it’s that energy that drives us to really be meaningful participants in life who respect the planet we live on.”
Manasa chose to be part of the pageantry to be a voice that causes change in the world. And while she is just one step away from winning the glorious crown of Miss World, we are already proud of her values of respect for her country above all else.
