meatloaf dinner

Ludlow – The Knights of Columbus Ludlow (Council 3535) will be sponsoring a meatloaf dinner to benefit the Community Survival Center on Saturday, July 9 at the SJB Pastoral Center on Hubbard Street. Takeout can be picked up between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. and dinner on site will be served at 5:30 p.m. Prepared by Chef Mike Trexler of Randall’s Farm, the homemade menu includes meatloaf with onion, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, dessert, coffee and tea. A vegetarian option is available as well as raffle prizes and a 50/50 draw. The Community Survival Center, 240 Main St. in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield depends on community support from the Ludlow, Wilbraham and Sixteen Acres area to help children and families who need help with food and clothes. Summerfest Chicken BBQ

Granby – Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 256 State St. will hold its annual Chicken BBQ on Sunday, August 28 from noon to 4 p.m. Call the parish office to purchase tickets in advance at 413-467-9821.

Next trip to church

Springfield – Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., return bus rides starting Monday, August 15, annual Hampton Beach meet, one-day ride. The cost is $50 and includes the day on your own at the beach. Additional worship time

Agawam – St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St. announces an additional time for worship each month. On the occasion of the “Year of the Eucharist”, an initiative of the Diocese of Springfield. On the first Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., mass precedes adoration at 8 a.m. Any Catholic interested in registering for a First Friday worship hour can register in the church vestibule. third Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, every week, from noon to 5:45 p.m., Holy Mass takes place at 6 p.m. “The Year of the Eucharist” is an initiative of the Diocese of Springfield to inspire and cultivate a deeper understanding and practice of the real presence of the Eucharist. Free weekly lunch for veterans

Easthampton – The Baha’i Community of Western Mass./Southern Vt. invites everyone to its regular online devotional programs as follows: Weekly Sunday Devotions via Zoom at 11:30 a.m. every Sunday morning, hosted by local communities, including the Baha’is of Easthampton and others on an alternating basis.
